It would be a great place if you are prepared to splurge.
Website: Taste Paradise
The setting: Modern. The deco was simple but elegant, with portraits of chinese emperors welcoming you into the restaurant. Making you feel like royalty. Especially the use of gold as the main table settings.

Appetizer was immediately served as we decide on what to order. I think its some octopus salad.

The food: Simple great canto food!
The first dish was a stone pot shark's fin soup served with crispy spring onion roll. The hot pot kept the soup hot as we savour the soup.

The stone pot was pretty big, so we shared and look at the way my parents are getting excited over the soup.
Just look at him eat. :)
Of course no meal is complete without some cognac or whisky or both!
Thats the life man!
I absolutely love this picture!
Like parents like daughter
I think there were a few dishes in between that I did not take any pictures. Because it was either (a) I was too lazy to take any pictures or (b) the food was gone simply too fast.
Than came dessert. There was an avocado or was it pumpkin cream with ice-cream dessert and another jelly dessert. I thought the creamy dessert was too much to end the meal but the jelly dessert was pretty light and refreshing and would have been my choice!
Than there is the fascination with the dry ice.
Oh and I forgot about this gluttonous rice dumpling with salted egg yolk filling, if I remember correctly. Well even if I can't remember what was inside, I could still remember that it tasted pretty good.
We ordered a second portion because we wanted my mum to try it because it was so good!
heh..the dude at the background spoil the picture lah! -_-
